Florence & The Machine-You've Got The Love video

The wonderful Florence Welch (of And The Machine) is set to release her excellent version of Candi Staton's, You've Got The Love on November 13th. A crowd favourite when performed live, Flo's version gives this soul classic a wonderfully modern twist. The video for this is shot with Florence perched on a glittery, silver quarter moon dressed in feathers and sequinns, whipping her red mane into shape with the music. It's pretty girly so I am not gonna complain.

Florence and The Machine-Drumming Song Video

So here is Florence Welch aka Florence And The Machine getting her groove on with some funky choreography in the video to her new single Drumming Song. With mystical costumes at the ready Florence and co swoon about a church elegantly to the anthemic chorus of the track. This shall probably help inject more sales from her Mercury nominated album Lungs as day time radio will swarm over this like hysterical wasps.

Bat For Lashes-Sleep Alone Video

Bat For Lashes is to release her third single Sleep Alone, from the Mercury nominated album Two Suns on September 4th. Stepping back into the shoes of Natasha Khan of old, Sleep Alone is a track that would have fitted well on her first release Fur And Gold but it has just a little bit more vivacity to suit Two Suns perfectly.
Her two previous singles Daniel and Pearl's Dream from her current album are full on 80's influenced pop songs which have indeed helped Khan's status as an artist. With it being her second nomination could it be her year to grab the Barclaycard Mercury Music Prize? I for one certainly hope so.

Friendly Fires-Kiss Of Life video

Friendly Fires return with another addictive single called Kiss Of Life out on XL Recordings on August 28th. It certainly has all things summery about it and the wonderfully picturesque video will have you dreaming of the wonderful sunshine we had about a month ago.

It's been a great week for Friendly Fires after receiving their first Mercury Music Prize nominations for their self titled debut, however Kiss Of Life is not included on the album. It should do pretty well as a stand alone single after the fantastic reception it received at Oxegen a couple of weeks back and Ed's dancing would put anyone in a good mood.
