Photographs @ HWCH '09

Hats off to the organisers of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival '09. It was a fantastic weekend of live music, photography and panel discussions. Most importantly though it showcased a lot of Irish musicians from all genres and it left me in doubt that there is a serious amount of talent in Irelend. I took some photo's of that very talent I speak of and for more you can click HERE.

Talulah Does The Hula-Bad Boyfriend Video

Dublin ladies (and man) Talulah Does The Hula have just released their first video to the wonderfully poppy Bad Boyfriend. It was shot over the summer by band member Jesse and it is uber slick!
The track itself reflects the summery feel good factor of the video and I love it.

If you like what you hear then you can them live next Friday in the Twisted Pepper as part of the Hard Working Class Heroes Festival.

Hard Working Class Heroes launch tonight!

I like the idea for this year's launch of the Hard Working Heroes Festival taking place in a variety of independent record shops who, not only support up and coming musicians but help give them a break in some way or another.
This evening shall see three different performances in three different record shops. Starting at 6.15pm this evening in Freebird Records (The old Secret Book & Records Shop) on Wicklow Street, Biggles Flys Again opens the proceedings. At 6.45pm Dublin based duo The Ambience Affair take on the crowds in Road Records, Fade Street, with the promised treat of free chips to fill your bellies and lastly, at 7.15pm Belfast band And So I watch You From Afar take to the stage in Tower Records on Wicklow Street and this time the food treat is Pizza.

During the launch more details of this years festival shall be announced and musicians can get more details on how to apply to be part of this years line-up as well as aspiring music photographers. For more info check out the HWCH website.
