One Life Stand is the 4th studio album due for release from the mighty Hot Chip on January 29th (In Ireland). After releasing, in my opinion three top albums with Coming On Strong, The Warning and Made In The Dark in the space of five years, they return with yet another excellent release.
Each album has seen the band evolve from an eccentric lo fi pop band to an all out disco club outfit, so the question is where to next for Hot Chip? Well the first track to become a single from the new album is also titled One Life Stand and it's a fantastic and buoyant pop tune, something I have missed with the X-Factor cramming up the airwaves of late.
Fans of Ready For The Floor and Boy From School shouldn't be disappointed with this effort and to accompany it is an equally great video.
