I remember in the few record shops I worked in, there were at least one or two people who would play his albums on a regular basis and it's because of them I ever listened to him.
In John Martyn's career it saw him release twenty studio albums as well as collaborate with some of the greats including Eric Clapton, David Gilmour and Danny Thompson whom he continued to work with throughout his career until his death. John Martyn passed away this morning at his home in Kilkenny. May he RIP.
